This is a great opportunity to see the majestic condors in one of the deepest canyons in the World on the coast of Peru.

Arequipa – Chivay – Colca Canyon.
At 08:00 we depart Arequipa to the northwest behind snow covered Chachani and Yura Volcanos. We will see wild Vicuñas at Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, Alpacas & Llamas in Tocra, plus various birds like Flamingos, Ibis, Andean Geese, Ducks, and Andean Eagles. We’ll stop at a lookout point to observe the volcanoes and snow covered mountains in Patapampa (4,800 m.) Also we will see volcanoes like Ampato, Sabancaya, Walca Walca, etc. Later will travel to Chivay the Capitol of the valley. In the afternoon we have an optional visit to the hot springs & pools in La Calera. We will spend the night in a Hotel in Colca.

Early morning after breakfast we will have a full day excursion to the beautiful typical towns of Yanque & Maca.  We will visit colonial churches and see gentle people with typical handmade clothing and hundreds of pre Incan terraces still in use with Andean corn, quinua, kiwicha growing. There is a Lookout from The Cross of the Condor to see deep into the canyon & observe the amazing flight of the Condors. Also you’ll see stone scale models and some pre Incan graves. After that we’ll have lunch and return to Arequipa arriving approximately at 18:00.
