MEALS-All breakfasts in the hotels and delicious meals on the trek prepared by professional chefs. GUIDE & PORTERS- Licensed bilingual tour guide (2 guides over 8 people), porters who will carry your personal items (7kg) in duffel bags that we provide and camping equipment for the Inca Trail. You must carry your daypack. We always provide 1.5 porters for every tourist. Local guides for the Jungle trip. |

Sleeping bag (you can rent at the SUNRISE EXPEDITIONS office), one litre of water, rain gear or poncho (plastic poncho can be purchased in Cusco), hiking boots (running shoes are not recommended), warm jacket or fleece, wind coat, t-shirts, shorts, long pants, sun hat, wool hat, flashlight, extra batteries, sun block, insect repellent, toilet paper, garbage bag, small towel, bathing suit (for hot springs), camera, extra film and extra batteries for your camera, binoculars, snacks (such as chocolates, energy bars), emergency money and walking stick (optional). |

An enjoyable program for trekkers who want to see different landscapes and distinct ecosystems spread across different altitudes and climates. This tour combines the cultural and natural tourist attractions with visits to remote villages where people still conserve their ancient traditions. This journey is unique since we visit the two deepest canyons of the region (Urubamba and Apurimac).
Starting & finishing point: Cusco airport.

TIMING: 8 days Starting and ending at Cusco airport.
ITINERARY:
Day 1: Cusco.
Arrive in Cusco at any time. However, we must know your flight details for reception and transfer to your hotel. There will be a briefing about the tour and the city. Today there is no planned activity. Walk slowly to get used to the altitude.
Day 2: Sacred Valley.
A wonderful day driving and walking through The Sacred Valley surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. You will see a fascinating typical market in Pisaq, which is a good place to buy gifts. Then you will visit the marvelous Incan towns of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. You will spend the night in the latter town.
Day 3, 4, 5, 6: Salkantay-Santa Teresa trek.
Early in the morning you will be transferred to Soraypampa, the starting point of this fantastic trek. On the way you will see picturesque towns. This trail runs from high valley up to the mountains and descends into lush jungle. The ecosystem changes rapidly. It derives from the variance of environmental factors (sun, water, temperature, soil).
This is a special hike because at the end you will visit the lost city of the Incas -Machupicchu.
Day 7: Machupicchu-Cusco.
Early in the morning we take the first bus to see the sunrise at Machupicchu and the surrounding green mountains accompanied by a specialized guide who will give you a relaxing tour since the other tour groups arrive midday. Late in the afternoon, you will take the return train to Cusco. You will arrive in the evening and be transferred to your hotel.
Day 8: Depart Cusco. Transfer to the airport.

We require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$150.00 per person. The deposit can be sent by a WESTERN UNION or to our BANK ACCOUNT money transfer. This is the fastest and most secure form of payment in Peru. The money transfer should be in the name of SUNRISE EXPEDITIONS TOUR OPERATOR E.I.R.L. Once you arrive in Cusco you must pay the remaining balance in cash prior to beginning your tour. We accept both US Dollars and Peruvian Soles (local currency). |
